A bit about me
A million years ago, I worked as a solicitor in the City and then in legal recruitment. In my career break, I trained as a life coach and set up Giraffe Coaching, a partnership, with my lovely friend, helping women find a new focus after a career break.
I am now a self-employed professional Career Coach.
In the last 2 years I have worked with The Reignite Academy where I feel I have come full circle. I have managed to combine my legal experience, recruitment and coaching skills to help more than 25 City trained lawyers return to careers in private practice under a 6month programme. This has been working with 2 astute and ambitious bosses who have taught me a lot.
I am now combining all of this experience and knowledge to help young adults plot a successful career path. In the present climate, I feel I have a lot to give. It seems that I am quite good at empathising with them and also quite good at encouraging them to take the next positive steps. (It helps that I’m not their parent!)
I first started helping friends whose children graduated and were feeling despondent about their options and careers because of Covid. From discussing with them what they were most worried about (cv, cover letter, confidence or interviews) I realised that I could help them get their career off to the right start and give them the confidence to pursue what they wanted.
If you have never had coaching before it’s not particularly clever, it just involves me asking questions that challenge your way of thinking in a non-judgmental way so that you realise what’s important to you and what you want to achieve. I don’t give advice….it’s you who finds the answers.
I hold qualifications in Personal Performance Coaching Diploma (PPD) from The Coaching Academy and have completed various courses of theirs on DISC, Mindfulness and Financial Coaching. I have a degree in Law and Italian Joint Integrated Hons (BA).
